Legacy Notebook: Homeowners and Renters Insurance

Day 12 of the Legacy Notebook Series

It’s another easy day for you today. You’ll need a few minutes to track down some insurance paperwork, but that’s really all there is to it.

Homeowners and/or Renters Insurance 
Take a few minutes to find or print out your homeowners (or renters) insurance policy declarations pages that show the summary of your coverage. Add that information to your legacy notebook for easy reference.

Today’s Action Items:

• Add your current homeowners or renters insurance policy declaration summary to your notebook
• If you are uber-organized and maintain any kind of household inventory listing to be used in the event of an insurance claim, put this in your notebook as well. I know this is a good idea and something we should have, but haven’t even attempted to tackle this project yet.
